PLANT PRODUCTION INFORMATION:

For a 3 to 5 million tires per year processing plant operating 3 shifts [22 hours per day] at 350 days per year of production, the plant will operate as follows:

5,000,000 tires X 25 pounds per passenger car tire = 125,000,000 pounds. [62,500 tons of tires can be processed annually.]
5 million tires divided by 350 days =14,285 tires per day [ @ 25 lbs per tire = 357,125 pounds per day].
Divided by 16 hours of production, this allows you to process 22,320 lbs per hour. [Divided by 2000 pounds per ton = 11 tons per hour of production].
22,320 lbs divided by 25 lbs per tire [PTE] Passenger Tire Equivalent = approximately 900 tires per hour. This production is based on using 2” chips, not whole tires.

END PRODUCTS & PLANT OUTPUT

Although production will vary from time to time, we will us a constant production figure of 10 tons per hour X 16 hours per day for a total of 160 tons of tires daily.

· 160 tons X 350 days = 56,000 tons annually.

· You will recover 20,000 gallons of fuel per day. Divided by 16 hours = 1,250 gallons per hour. Each barrel of fuel = 42 gallons. Production is 30 barrels per hour X 16 hrs = 480 barrels per day.

· 75% will be # 2 Diesel 360 barrels per day @ $110 per barrel = $39,600.00 per day X 350 days = $13,860,000.00 annual income. $ 2.61 per gallon.

· 25% will be # 4 Diesel 120 barrels per day @ $80 per barrel =$9,600.00 per day X 350 days = $ 3,360,000.00 annual income. [$1.90 per gallon].

· Carbon Black recovery is 4 pounds per tire X 5,000,000 = 20,000,000 pounds. Prices vary for Carbon Black between 12 cents to 42 cents per pound. On the high end of 42 cents X 20 million = $ 8,400,000.00 and on the low end at 12 cents per pound = $2,400,000.00 annually. [This comes to 10,000 tons per year. At 42 cents = $840 per ton and at 12 cents = $ 240 per ton].

· Steel recovery from each tires averages 7 lbs per tire = 35,000,000 pounds/17,500 tons annually. Current steel prices are $ 175 per ton = $3,062,500.00 annual income.

· TOTAL ESTIMATED INCOME FROM ABOVE FROM 5 MILLION TIRES:

Payback for each Tire to Fuel Plant is less than 24 months based on a 5 Million-Tire Production Facility.

Typical production is 70% # 4 Diesel; 20% gas; 8% Heating Oil and 2% light aromatics [for soap or perfume manufacturing.] The system will operate on its own fuel and uses between 12% and 15% to continuously process the tires.

Based on the above income, each tire is now valued at $4.53 each, which was once scrap and a liability to the State.

There will be 3 workers per shift to keep things moving.

No water needs. The system operates on 15% of its own power so a generator is used to get it started
